Dalí Museum 44th Anniversary Gala
The Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg is stunning on a normal day. For their 44th anniversary gala, they transformed it into something absolutely surreal. And WE had a front row seat!
When we were asked to create live fashion illustrations at the Dali’s annual Gala we knew it would be surreal… but we didn’t expect this!
Guests ate dinner among the artwork. Imagine having your salad course four feet away from a Dalí masterpiece! There were performers dressed as living flowers walking through the space. A wine fountain inspired by Dalí's own collage, “The Cat with the Wine-loving Whiskers.” Acapella singers serenading guests while they winded and dined.
The whole event was fantastical in a way that was so fitting, because where else would you go that surreal if not the Dalí?
And our team got to see it all unravel from our station beneath the iconic spiral staircase in the center of the building - if you've been to the museum, you know the one.
Our Florida based artist captured each gorgeous guest. Stopping them in their tracks as they wanted actual art be created, surrounded by art all around them.
And they couldn’t get enough! People loved the idea of taking home a piece of the night, something they could cherish and remember not only what the night was but how it felt to be there.
Live painting at the Dali was our first major Florida event, and we couldn't have asked for a better one to start with. The Dalí's private events are managed by UDREAM Events, and their team made everything seamless. We're so grateful they brought us in for this one. The Dalí team was incredible to work with, and getting to paint in that space was truly a bucket list item.
Here’s to 44 surreal years of the Dalí museum!
